@Mindset Mondays with DTK – Ep #118 — Two ears. One mouth. Have you noticed that people with knowledge are usually more than willing to share it with anyone who will listen … sometimes even with folk unwilling to listen? Often, the less knowledge, the more willing they are to share what they know. (And, yes, I know there are some who would drop me into that category.)By comparison, it is often that those described as having wisdom are oft the ones who speak the least. The Sage of the Sixties, Jimi Hendrix, captured this with elegant simplicity:"Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens."The willingness to listen, to ask questions, and to absorb is how the wise became wise, not by prattling on about what they already know. Now a dozen years into my coaching journey I realize that every time I learn something new, I very quickly discover that what I thought was the whole truth was but a tiny part of it.I learn so much more by listening, by watching, by taking in what is present. Please share your wisdom with me this week. What are you inspired to share?

Episode #118 — Two ears. One mouth.
Have you noticed that people with knowledge are usually more than willing to share it with anyone who will listen … sometimes even with folk unwilling to listen?
Often, the less knowledge, the more willing they are to share what they know. (And, yes, I know there are some who would drop me into that category.)
By comparison, it is often that those described as having wisdom are oft the ones who speak the least. The Sage of the Sixties, Jimi Hendrix, captured this with elegant simplicity:
“Knowledge speaks,
but wisdom listens.”
— Jimi Hendrix
The willingness to listen, to ask questions, and to absorb is how the wise became wise, not by prattling on about what they already know. Now a dozen years into my coaching journey I realize that every time I learn something new, I very quickly discover that what I thought was the whole truth was but a tiny part of it.
I learn so much more by listening, by watching, by taking in what is present.
Please share your wisdom with me this week.
