Mindset Mondays with DTK – Ep #170 — Shut The 🤬 UP!
Shhhh.
Hush.
Silence.
Be quiet.
Keep mum.
Clam up.
Button it.
Button your lip.
Pipe down.
Zip it.
Put a sock in it.
Hold your tongue.
Shut your mouth, your maw, your yap, trap, pie hole.
We have so many ways to say it … it’s a wonder we do rarely do it.
“The quieter you become the more you can hear.”
— Ram Dass
During a coaching intensive earlier this month, I asked the small group I was leading to pause, take a breath, ask themselves a question … and simply and silently listen.
Not only was I moved by what the people shared, one of the things that came up for me – what I heard when I got quiet — blew me away. And it spoke to the work I had been avoiding for the last year …
I’ve kept myself so occupied with the work of promoting and marketing a book that I have avoided creating and revealing my next thought-leadership arena … my next project.
No, I have no idea what form it will take. But I have a starting point, something to play with, something to build off of, something to speak to … and to listen to.
It’s no coincidence that SILENT & LISTEN have the same letters …
Where do you create space in your world to silently listen?
