You are far too smart to be the only thing standing in your way

This is the 7th installment of weekly #facebooklive  broadcasts crafted to provide the opportunity for growth-minded folk (or those who wish to be) to play with new ideas, new possibilities, and new mindsets.

My learning from this morning’s broadcast (watch it at http://dtk.to/MM007fb) is that a powerful first step to regaining control of your mindset is to challenge every belief (be it self-limiting or not!) by asking “When did that become true?”

The famous (infamous?) story of Charles H. Duell, the Commissioner of US patent office in 1899, credits him as having opined** that “everything that can be invented has been invented.”

What a brilliant (if not apocryphal) example of one’s own self-selected truth, held as fact, limiting the possibilities of the present and future.

Where are YOU holding things as true that may not be?
