Mindset Mondays with DTK – Ep #089 — Turn and face the strange changes… The members of the college class of 2023 are expected to have seven careers in their lifetime. That's careers. Not jobs. And I remember a year ago how obsessed those soon-to-be high school graduates were (read: "their parents were") about what they were going "to do" when they graduated. What they were really saying was "to do for the rest of their lives." How absurd was that. Consider Charles Darwin's perspective:"It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change."This generation is called upon to be more flexible, adaptive, and responsive than any preceding generation. And the ones who are the most responsive to change will be the most successful.Spoiler alert: it's not just the class of '23. The same is true for you, too. The world is changing at a rate that far exceeds our ability to respond to that change. And yet, we are called upon to do exactly that.So how responsive to change are you?

Mindset Mondays with DTK – Ep #089 — Turn and face the strange changes…

The members of the college class of 2023 are expected to have seven careers in their lifetime. That’s careers. Not jobs. And I remember a year ago how obsessed those soon-to-be high school graduates were (read: “their parents were”) about what they were going “to do” when they graduated. What they were really saying was “to do for the rest of their lives.” How absurd was that. Consider Charles Darwin’s perspective:

“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”

This generation is called upon to be more flexible, adaptive, and responsive than any preceding generation. And the ones who are the most responsive to change will be the most successful.

Spoiler alert: it’s not just the class of ’23. The same is true for you, too. The world is changing at a rate that far exceeds our ability to respond to that change. And yet, we are called upon to do exactly that.

So how responsive to change are you?
