Of the myriad ways to explore the essence of another person, my favorite is play!

Conversation, for the most part, is a conscious effort ripe with intention and planning and even a performative edge. Play, on the other hand, tends toward the spontaneous, the unconscious, the fluid. Play reveals the inner child, the essence, the heart.
