Mindset Mondays with DTK – Ep #102 — Be Intentional About Your Attention.

Many years ago a friend in the investment industry complained that every time the market shifts more that 1% he spent the rest of the day talking a number of his clients off the ledge. It wasn’t the time required that bothered him. It was the energy stain the calls left on him. You see, those clients spent all day obsessively watching every market fluctuation and it had shaped their worldview around nothing but money, gains, and losses.

Not legacy. Not impact. Not growth. Not family. Not community. Not travel. Not learning. Not ANYTHING for which his clients would USE money. It was just about money.

“Tell me to what you pay attention and I will tell you who you are.”
— José Ortega y Gasset

To what will you pay attention?
