Sleep, nutrition, and exercise … I already know that those are the three ‘physical’ levers I can use to make my brain (and my body) work better. Sleep resets, recharges, and restores. Nutrition is both energy source and building blocks. Exercise keeps the systems humming and expands capacity.

The fourth lever — the metaphysical one — is “soul-food.” Feeding my soul, my spirit, is the singularly most impactful, powerful lever because it’s an amplifier. The truth is, when I give my intention, my attention, and my energy to the things that feed my spirit, I sleep better, I eat better, I move more, and I am more alive!
When I ignore my spirit, when I neglect my soul, I am drained faster than a sleepless night, my energy is sapped more effectively than a hollow meal, and I’m sluggish like I’ve been inside over an endless Arctic winter.
